Thunderbolt Launch Day Speculation/Rumor Thread

I wonder if all those "sign up here for update" emails will be sent out? Wouldn't they want to start sending those out for a heads up? thoughts?

If they send out emails it probably wouldn't be until after they make an official announcement for a release date.
 
I don't wanna get my hopes up either like the rest of you, but what the hell. Hopefully something exciting will happen tomorrow. Crossing fingers and weiners :p

good point, that is general verizon twitter account.. I would not make a big deal about that tweet. I hope we still get something tomorrow.
 
I really hope they open up preorders tomorrow or make the phone live for pick up friday. I have had to live on my laptop and its a pain in the ass having two computers going on my desk at work.
 
I was told 2 weeks ago that it would be out this week. I don't believe anything they tell me at work. No best buy has a sure date so i wouldn't listen to any of them. Same as the VZ stores. Best thing to do is wait for VZ to announce it.
 
Most people following the "forum game:new thunderbolt goodie update one of us is right" thread on android central seem to think that there is a chance that bennnnn might really work at verizon corporate and might have inside information.

So far, through riddles, hints, anagrams, etc. bennnnn has revealed that the thunderbolt will launch on 3/10/11, that the announcement will most likely be on 3/3/11, that best buy will sell the thunderbolt on 3/9/11 and that the thunderbolt will come with netflix, google music, and onlive.

jerryyyyy on the other hand is almost certainly a troll. jerryyyyy has revealed that the thunderbolt will come with a built in cupholder and that the announcement will happen at 11:00 am eastern.

bennnnn has stated that he is in no way affiliated with jerryyyyy.

All bennn has stated about today is that the announcement was scheduled tentatively for today, nothing more.
 
As much as it has beel all speculation, how big of an uproar will take place if nothing happens today? People will reach a new level of "i hate vzw" that will be epic.

For the better this delay, since now people can consider at least the Stealth as well. If it has 16gb internal and a dual core, I will probably get the Stealth. 4.3" amoled with the new tech that fixes the resolution issue of current amoled seems too good to pass up.

I really like the amoled on the Inc, but prefer the real resolution of LCD. Amoled plus has both :)

That said, I am beginning to wonder if it does have the dual core..... If it does, why did Sammy put a Tegra 2 in the new Galaxy Tab????
