Thunderbolt owner Roll call

I'm number 1 at best buy in Buffalo! supppppppppppppppper stoked, be there at 10 a.m. and I get one no matter what, benefits of being a nerd!
 
10:00am tomorrow morning!!!

Got the call at 1:45pm today, I tried for 9:30 but they would not open early...
 
not sure how that dude is getting it for that price. This is from verizon's twitter

#ThunderBolt is $249.99 with 2-year contract. $319.99 with 1-year contract and $599.99 with no contract."
 
im ready for tomorrow! got two preorders at bb(incase one fails) and the hookup with a manager at a corp store in case it all goes to hell..cant be there in the morn(due to me being in the military) but at lunch it will be mine! :)
 
Getting to the store 45 minutes away (Closest one to me) a hour early. And then porting my number from Sprint to Verizon and bringing home a shiny new Thunderbolt!

Anyone else porting a number?
 
As a VZW employee, you get 1 year contracts but pay the 2 year pricing. Wondering if any one else with EPP has been able to order their TB. I'm not sure if it's just trying to block me from ordering it or if something's up with my My Verizon account. *Sigh*

*EDIT* Nevermind, started working again and got my order placed:
Order placed at 3:54 AM for $219.99 (not sure what the extra discount was for), 1 year contract and also ordered the black/blue silicone cover and screen protectors. Overnight shipping to work, should arrive Friday.

I was tempted to get the car mount but I wanna see it at the store with the cover. Also, I didn't see the desk mount, inductive charging battery cover and the wireless charging pad (it's an LG product from what I saw) but am going to call for these later. Now just the wait for tomorrow!

Also, for the record my Pre 2 is still active. I figure it will deactivate once it's sent out since the SIM is already activated upon arrival.

I have a phone under my sisters employee account. I was able to sign in and order 2 phones with no problem. The trick is to order it from the Thunderbolt Ad on the main page before you sign in. Click the "learn more" icon. The same one that took you to the email notification list. now it takes you to the informantion and order page. Just add to cart then it will ask you to sign in. After that, its just normal order flow. Good luck and make sure to get that free overnight shipping!

I tried the free overnight shipping promo code but it said it was expired. I mean I got a $30 discount (which I really have no clue why) so I just paid the $8.99. Made me add WPP too but I gotta call and get that removed.
 
Going through the whole "upgrade phone" thing on the VZW website. Did anyone else go this path, and were you also forced to choose "equipment protection"? I didn't select either option (wireless phone protection @$5.18/month or extended warranty @$1.99/month) and I can't get past the page - I have to "make a selection". I don't want to get any kind of insurance...was anyone able to get past this page?

Add it and when the device gets activated, call in and have it removed. I couldn't get rid of it either.

I'm jealous u got an extra $30 off somehow. $219 is much better than $249. Seems like the system was all messed up once the phone went live. Oh well, it is what it is. Can't wait till Friday.
 
Have my boyz girl gettn it for me she's an employee (discount) there but have to wait till i get outa work to play with it..DAMN WORK!! so around 6 itll be in daddy's hands!
 
Haha, is anyone here actually on a consumer account or did they all do the Best Buy presale?

Wow...bad sign that Amazon already on backorder for these. And, I got my Verizon email just now announcing the availablility of the t-bolt. :rolleyes: I would have preferred that the email didn't come at this point to alert the masses before those of us who have kept the long vigil get rewarded with our t-bolt in hand. Otherwise, with backordered status looming, this could be deja-dinc all over again!! :eek:
 
I guess it depends on each individual account, but for me it's coming up as $199/2 yr and $229/1 yr on the website. Same as the Fascinate?! Huh.

I was going to take a chance and call the VZW store on the way home from work, but I might just get it online.
