thunderbolt vs. Incredible

Not even close. If you want to compare 3G to 3G then note that the Thunderbolt has a slightly larger battery. But if you're using 4G, the battery life is noticeably less than other 4G phones out or going to be manufactured. Only solution is to get an extended battery or charge during the day.

What? There are no other LTE handsets out on the market today, what exactly should we compare it to? Besides that fact, did you ever read the Evo section when it first dropped? Same story. It's a phone, and a damned powerful one at that, not a miracle worker. If you sync your 9 email accounts, Facebook every 15 minutes, Friendstream every 15 minutes, Peep every 15 minutes, listen to Pandora, surf the web all day, and never put the phone down, of course its going to suck. Its not a nuclear powered submarine, its a phone relying on 5 year old battery technology to power it.

Seriously, its great that people have expectations for their phones, but they need to be realistic ones at least.

I sold my incredible yesterday for $275 with some basic accessories
I find call quality better then the incredible
Stock to stock battery life is similar . Slight nod going to incredible
Stock to stock thethunderbolt is much faster and 1000x better
My incredible running cm7 was smother then my thunderbolt 2.3.3 blows away 2.2.1
I prefer the size and weight of the thunderbolt I always thought the incredible was always too small

I dislike CM and never had the chance to run 2.3, but other than that I agree entirely.

The Thunderbolt is just a completely superior product that is just going to get better with an update or two and a new release of Android.

I loved my Incredible, but I also just sold it off. It was a great phone and it held me over, but I am glad that I switched. The ThunderBolt is faster and smoother is most everything that it does. I had an old AMOLED Incredible, so the screen quality is a little iffy, IMO, but the ThunderBolt still looks great. It doesn't even look real sometimes, like it's just a sticker or something. Very clear and nice.

I have noticed the call quality is a little better on the ThunderBolt. The battery life on both are pretty miserable, but sometimes we expect too much from these phones.

The real difference is the 4G. If you don't live in a 4G area, you may not be interested in the ThunderBolt and rightfully so. If you do live in a 4G area, go and get it NOW. The data speeds of this thing are INSANE

Honestly, the Incredible can't really stack up to this thing. The ThunderBolt is pretty much a direct upgrade.

I've had my DInc for almost a year and it's hands down the best phone I've ever had.

That being said, I want the TBolt but am very hesitant to part ways with such a wonderful partner.

Thankfully, my wife needs to get rid of her Moto Droid so she will be the lucky recipient of my rooted DInc. It won't be out of my sight :)
