Thursday I get to see my boys bust up Boston...

You would say that, being a Boston resident/fan.

I'm neither a Boston nor LA fan. I'm completely unbiased when it comes to this series and I watch a lot of NBA/NCAA basketball. When it comes to acting...Pierce is Reggie 2.0. Pierce > everyone else on acting.

Pierce acts like his career is done everytime he falls to the floor

i wouldn't label odom and bynum superstars. artest may be if youre looking at him from a defensive standpoint.

Come on dude any of these dudes would be a star in any team in the NBA. Odom was with Miami and the Clippers, Artest nuff said, Bynum well if he's healthy and on another team he would be a star for sure.

+1

He'll probably have to spend just as much energy guarding Rondo if they decide to put him on Rondo.

Pierce a faker? I must say Fisher flops more times than Pierce. Fisher is one of the biggest flopper I've seen. I do agree Pierce flops a bit as well, but no where near the level of Fisher.

Either way, this will be one heck of a series. My prediction is Celtics in 6. Go Celts! :D

Come on dude really...Rondo ain't shit compared to Kobe aka black mamba aka the doberman on D, Pierce is gonna get locked up by Artest and Ray old man Allen can only shoot open jumpers. Garnett, Gasol can handle and Bynum with wack ass (no foul) Perkins. I can't wait until they T him up one more time then he's out a game.

Lakers in 6 and we celebrate in Boston!

Odom and Bynum are streaky players. I've been following the laker games from the start of the season, and some days they bring it, some days they dont. They might be stars, but definitely NOT superstars. Doesn't matter if theyre injured or not. Kobe still puts up numbers with injuries galore. And he's performed exceptionally all around. Defensively, Artest performs like a superstar, but offensively, he's inferior to odom.

I'm as much a Laker fan as the next, but to say LA has 5 superstars is a joke.

Bynum is nowhere NEAR superstar level. He hasn't proven to be durable and also seems to be a bit soft. He's got the potential, he just needs to stay on the court and use it. Artest is one of the best defenders in the league but to be a superstar you need to be an all-around player.

In 08 we had no Bynum, meaning Odom had to start and Pau had to play C, two things you really dont want if you are the Lakers. Ariza was playing on a bad ankle and Pau had only been with the team for 5 months. Now we have Artest, Odom able to come off the bench and Bynum at about 70%. Starting lineups will be...

Fisher/Rondo
Kobe/Allen
Artest/Pierce
Pau/KG
Bynum/Perkins

In 08, the Celtics got away with putting Pierce on Kobe since Ariza was an undersized SF and Allen could play him, especially with a bad ankle and Sasha played alot more than he should have. Now with Artest, you can throw that out. Pierce has to play him. Kobe will abuse Allen one on one. He can shoot over him with ease or post him up and use his size. The Celtics will most likely double with Pierce leaving Artest open, this didnt work out too well for Phoenix, especially in game 6 where he dropped 25 on them.

The Lakers will defend Rondo as they did Nash, they will build a wall in the paint with a big or two and force him to pass. Boston is not really a jump shooting team and they arent going to be deadly from 3 as Phoenix was. I really cant see any area where the Celtics have a big advantage, even with their bench. Powe, Posey, House and Brown all played big. Now you have Rasheed and Nate Robinson? Nowhere near the same effect. Odom will cancel Rasheed out and Nate is not going to do much damage. Tony Allen will have to deal with Kobe at times and Davis against Pau doesnt scare me.

Lakers in 6

mbell75 and .....
I hope Fakers can win 2 in a row.
Again, possible that
Jack Nicholson and Fakers fan in 08 - PRICELESS. 2010 - Deja Vu.

I hate the NBA these days but I do believe the next two games are being played in LA. Which kinda sets up a good homecourt presence for the Lakers.

Celtics just won 2 in a row in Boston and they are not a great home team. No reason to think the Lakers, who have only lost ONE home game since the 08 postseason cant win 2 in a row :)

The Celtics were demolished in Game 6. :D Time for the purple and gold confetti on Thursday!
