Help Time change on Cricket ascend

Okay if you have the problem like I did with my ascend. The time did not automatically change for daylight savings. So I tried the normal stuff. Pulling out the battery. Turning off the phone etc.

Well the easy way to fix it. is to use Cricket's ota programming method. Dial *228 and let its do its thing., when phone comes back on, walla time is updated correctly plus you also receive updated tower information.

Just thought I'd share with you guys.

I called my girlfriends phone and the time updated on its own. We do this every time change with our phones if they dont auto-correct first.

I call her and both phones update. Or, vise-versa. She calls me and both update.

My time updated fine on my Ascend yet my Optimus did not. Though I was using a battery saving app on my Optimus. I realize this may have stopped proper sync and data that would be necessary for the clock to change. I was able to turn my phone (Optimus) on and off again at exactly 5 am, It reset itself after that. I think with daylight savings time the proper time is sent every 2 hours, Until 12 PM the next day. That was what I was told anyways. In the 12 hour interval after the first daylight savings time change, There is a 2 hour data correction sent. So if you don't update at 3 AM, Then check back every two hours. That was what I was told anyways. ^^.

I think it's funny that people's phones aren't adjusting for daylight savings time. I live in Arizona- We don't have daylight savings time, but my phone did automatically adjust for it. I restarted my phone and it corrected itself.
