Root Time for a change of ROM?!?

I am running JellyTime R29 with KangBang v1.9. Kind of a ironic marriage. But the two work well together. Well, their software does at least :p

Hmm... will think about it then!

Seriously though... I'd be surprised if ral's not already tried it :)

ViperDHD?

Yup. The widgets were designed for a qHD display, so when using the Sense widgets there is a fair bit of space on the left and right sides. Kept it for a day only. Did not encounter any issues. Just did not like it.

It surprisingly fast for a Sense 4.x ROM though.

Well... it's been a while since I've done any flashing... think I'm gonna have to give a different Vanilla ROM a go - Sense just doesn't do it for me!

Just not sure whether to stick with ICS or give JB a go?!?!

JB for sure!

Have any of you tried ViperHD? I'm itching to install that on Mrs Presidentes handset, but she doesn't see the point.

lol mrs 85 is the same way. she maybe is even worse,as she is resitant to any change so any flashing i do must look exactly like what was there before  :p

JB for sure!

Yeah... liking it so far... don't know why I stuck to IceCold for so long!

PACman's working out quite well at the moment, but I think I might have to try CM10 soon... I know PACman's based (in part) on CM10, but I did love CM7 when I had it on my phone!! :D

Was on JellyTime for a day, and the kernel improves things. But in the end opted to justify restore aospX MR1. Fully working Chrome browser is the main reason.

I do miss some of the CM features and improved JB notifications.

Seriously though... I'd be surprised if ral's not already tried it :)

Every DHD ROM I have tried:

ARHD 6.3.3
ARHD 7.0.4
aospX 1.0.0-MR1
Blackout ICS (6 versions, including 2 unreleased versions)
Cynanogenmod 7.2
JellyTime (3 versions)
Sabsa Prime (2 versions)
TrickDroid (3 versions, including 1 unreleased versions)
Venomous Red (unreleased version)
ViperDHD 1.1
Virtuous Affinity 2.0.5
Virtuous Infinity (2 versions)
XxXPachaXxX Nero v2.0

Thats in the past 140 days or so :D

What phone did CDPlant move to. I do not see him in these parts anymore?

So far so good with PACman. Have noticed that long press on the homescreen does not bring up the option to add widgets, which is a bit annoying... guess that's only as I was used to it!

There are some nice options though and I am impressed with the Performance Settings that are built in.

Although I'm not sure if I will end up sticking with it, it certainly is a nice change :)

I think pacman was an excellent Rom, but mine went a bit weird and started acting up. On sense gingerbread at the moment but as soon as I'm done with needing GPS, I'll be back on Pacman or code fire.

I had a quick go on GPS last night and found that it seemed to be ok... better than any other vanilla ROM I've tried... didn't have to change the gps.conf file... gonna try it out when I go out in a bit :)

Been on Pacman for several weeks now. Annoying bug with BT - connect a paired device and it flips to 'vibrate' mode. Only real issue I've seen so far.

PACman's not a bad ROM and I've found battery life to be pretty good.

I don't use many widgets, but have noticed that Current Widget works for so long and then stops working. A reboot means that it works again, but I can't be rebooting all the time... I think it's gonna be time for another one!

Think that it's gonna have to be CM10 :)

on the thnuderbolt,we had alot of trouble with GPS on AOSP roms. the fix was crazy, but actually worked.
-run a sense rom.
-use an app like GPS status to get a solid lock on as many satilites as possible. make sure to use the app to download AGPS settings. some folks used maps to get their location, with a 3 meter accuracy, wich seemed to work also.
-immediately boot to recovery, wipe, flash AOSP,or restore AOSP backup.

when flashing on my TB,i pretty much found as long as o had used GPS,and it worked in the previous rom i was running,it would work inthe next.

might give that a shot if you havent :)

I am going back to Blackout v3.2.

1. It uses the my own voltage, frequency and governor tweaks.

2. It is patched with my own rosie sensitivity fix.

3. It has my name in the Tweaks app :)

It feels a bit like the ROM is more mine than any other. Will still flash codefireX sooner or later... but I think my frequent flashing days are over.

Showing off now :p Sorry. could not help it.

It had been the same amount of time since my last flash too.

Flashed CFX last night. And I like it, although everything seems real lggy.
