Well everyone, over this holiday weekend I bit the big one and signed a contract with sprint. I ended up getting the HTC Evo 4g for 29$ w/ contract - a major major upgrade from the prevail.
My mother claimed my prevail since she is on boost, so thats the end of my tinkering on it. I gave her EE14, Rooted, CWM (for backups mainly), l2sd (in auto mode) . Ill do updates as i see necessary for her.
So, maybe i will see some of you over on the EVO forums. I had a lotta fun learning the ins and outs of android with the prevail.
By the way, within an hour of getting home that evo's warranty was voided
