Help Time incorrect after android update

If you can't uninstall Clean Master then at least clear it's data and disable it (in settings applications, ALL). That app is bad bad news mate
(Tab is still in factory state) : uninstall of Clean Master, etc. successful BUT after restarting (soft reset) they are back. :-O

Aye they're installed as system apps so you need root to get rid of them but in settings, applications, ALL find them and they should have buttons saying clear data, uninstall updates and then disable

After 7 hours the clock 2 hours slower than the actual time. :) (auto time sync disabled)

How often syncs the clock if I enable?

I'am waiting for ASUS' answer. They proposed hard reset as first aid...

I have the same problem. I have an ASUS Memo Pad 7 (K013). After updating to Lollipop, the clock keeps losing time. It doesn't matter if the option to get the time from the network is enabled or not, it happens when the tablet is set on offline mode. Clean Master and the other apps are stub apps that ASUS included in the last firmware. There is no option to disable them, and if you uninstall them, they keep reinstalling themselves after rebooting.

Asus service checked my tab and "didn't find any problem"... I am waiting my tab back for checking. If the issue still exists I will shoot a continous video about the clock issue (1, set up the clock, 2, turn the tab to stand by for 10-15 mins, 3, turn back and check the time & clock) I'm sure that they haven't done any check.

Yeah you need a connection. and clearly not but since we're a bit short of fixes here I thought I'd offer a band aid.
That ok with you?

I use the tab as an alarm clock to wake me up, offline environment. An unreliable clock makes it difficult, if you know what I mean :D

I feel for you. The best option I can think of is to set a timer in the clock app for how many hours it is until you need woke up (wow my brain is working well today lol)

I'll get back the tab today (based on GLS' tracking). I'm pretty sure that if the clock slower than the actual time so will the self timer as well. They are using the same - integrated - clock on the motherboard...

I've got back the tab. The clock works perfectly altough the support states that they didn't repaired anything due the "lack of issue" ...
Currently downloading/syncronizing apps via WiFi. Keep you posted.

I have the same problem after the update. I went onto the stopwatch that comes with the tablet and a minute in real life is only about 45 seconds on the tablet. Its more annoying than being a real problem but I'm desperate to fix it.

If you can spare your tab for 1-2 days I advice to hard reset (factory default) AND leave it on the starting/log in screen. I think this happened and solved my tab's problem. It was in this state as it reached the service point. Where they didn't find the issue. Currently works fine and updating the apps...

Status report: the tab's clock still works fine as per morning check. Supposing that the ASUS service really didn't fix anything on my device I think beeing in 1-2 days offline and factory status helped.

Thanks. I tried a factory reset and left it for a few hours and the clock is now working. Just a shame that my backing up of my stuff didn't work. Also the clean master, trip advisor and games things are very annoying.

It is really annoying, is not few seconds or minutes per day is few hours late. OK I did factory reset two times, now is third time and I am going to left my tablet in peace for few hours.:)

My tablet's clock is still perfect, just have checked.

Thanks Peter now works perfectly. I don't know what I did. Maybe setting for English keyboard and British Summer Time was the issue. I just left as it was and adjusted it later. Works now I am so happy:D

You're welcome! :) My tab was on EST time or whatever when I got it back from the Service... Maybe the GPS time has desynchronised when it was properly set. Dunno. :D

Today morning the tab's clock showed incorrect time again. :( (3 hours late)
My investigation is in progress in order to find the reason. These are the results so far:

1, I'd begun to use the "WiFi Manager" applet with a widget.
2, I'd started to download some files from my OneDrive and turned out the tab to let it finish during the night. Morning I've got a warning message which stated that the file download wasn't successful.
3, The "use the network time" option works if you restart the tab, but the clock shows incorrect time after 10 minutes...

Deleted/uninstalled WiFi Manager: no effect.
Restart: no effect

Using the ASUS' stopwatch and my wrist watch I can see, that 60 secs real time last for 45 sec on the tab.
Pls. see this video about the issue:

Based on the actual time and the displayed time difference I've calculated that the clock begun to late from 2:33 AM ... no idea what the hell was happened then...
