Time to go camping. Need tech support.

First let me tell you I have Sprint and have updated my NASCAR mobile '13 app so I'm supposed to be able to watch all the races on my phone but I want to watch Saturdays' Richmond night race on my tablet. I know I'll have to turn on my phones hotspot but how do I get it to play on my tablet. I haven't done this before. Do I need an app on my tablet? One of my friends is pretty stoked about being able to watch the race while we're camping so I don't want to let him down.

Why don't you give it a dry run right now? Try turning on the hotspot on the phone and turn on wifi on the tablet and see if they hook up!

Should probably see where you can adjust the security setting on the hotspot and go into settings on the tablet and set it up accordingly, like passwords, or whatever.

Give it a shot! :)

I would assume you would need the NASCAR app on your tablet... They you should be able to watch it as long as you have an internet connection.

Yeah your tablet will connect to the phones hotspot just like it connects to your home wifi. Just need to make sure you get the password off your phone (if you have one).

I believe the NASCAR app is a Sprint only app and probably can not be installed on my nexus 10 but I'll try. I may also try to download the Fox TV app, if there is one, to see if that will work.

Gone are the days when all you needed when you went camping was a canvas tarp, a bedroll (wrapped in the tarp), a knife, a tomahawk, a billy and either some supplies or means to catch and kill your own...

I was thinking that, what kind of camper has Android tablets, WiFi hotspots, live NASCAR? I thought the whole idea of camping was to get away from that stuff. :smokingsomb:

I'm picturing a Native American tomahawk. :) :D

I wouldn't normally do this but he asked and he is the one hosting this shin dig. What I want to do while camping is sit around a fire drinking beer and telling stories. Sometimes we have a few guys that can play music at these things.

funny you ask this. I Just went camping this past weekend. The only thing we used electronics for was taking pics. We had no service where we were. Had to drive 30 minutes down the mountain to get service. Do you know you'll have service where you guys will be?

fwiw I went camping in Tellico Plains in the Cherokee National Forest in Tennessee and it was flippin awesome.
