do you mean by "dont go away" that they dont leave the screen or they dont uninstall? what is your goal....? if they dont leave the screen, i am afraid i dont know why, but to actually uninstall..is thru the settings->apps->manage apps
 
So when you root you lose everything on your phone right? Like all my scenes and apps is it like resetting your phone and starting over?
 
When I open up a contact, I would like to be able to view the full address for that contact. When I select 'view' address, instead of showing the actual address, it goes to navigate. The only way I have been able to get to the actual address is to go into the edit screen.

Is there a way to view a contact in a business card format?

I have spent hours searching thru the forums, but cant find any info on this particular topic.

Well, not sure on this one. When I view my contacts I can see the whole address no problem and will wrap if its too long. This could be a difference in our phones. I also have flashed a custom font. That also could be the difference. Sorry not much help on this one.

I found this while looking for an answer to my question, not sure if you ever found a solution but there is an app called App Lock if you want to password protect games, apps, etc......not sure about a specific folder tho.



Now for MY question, is there a way to organize icons in a folder?

I made several new folders for my home screen (ex. Games, Tools, Utility, etc...) and I suffer from OCD and cannot stand the fact that the icons are all out of order alphabetically. :D

I know how to move them around on the 5 main home screens but in the folder itself if you try a long press it only allows you to trash bin them, rather than move them in order of preference. Any help would be GREAT! :D

All I can say is download an app called folder organizer. They have a free version and a paid version. I have to say that it took me all of 10 min to decide to buy the full version. You can change icons for folders and apps and organize them all you want in the app itself then use their folders with custom icons....Its the easiest way I have found to do it.

On my evo..I've had trouble on facebook. It has an option where you can post where ur at. And it keeps saying no signal or couldnt locate bla bla...why is that? But on iphones it finds ur location right away. Yes their both diff phones but the evo should be able to locate where I'm at.

Did you make sure your GPS is turned on?

Check GPS is on:
menu/settings/Location: Make sure Use Wireless networks, and Use GPS satellites are checked.

Other then that it could be a setting in facebook, and I don't use that app so I wouldn't know for sure.

Asking just cuz I didnt see any of those on the free version. Also kinda O/T but how do you take/save screenshots?

1. Icons = [THEME] Update 11-15 [NEW slayer69 ADDONS] FROYO2.2 Riptide9's ColorNClear - xda-developers

Down the page you will see Glass_Icons.zip. That contains all the icons that have been created for that theme. Can be used outside the theme of course. I am slayer69 on XDA and have been helping Rip with some of the mods as well as a lot of the glass icons. Most of the ones I have created will be there. If you have apps that are not in that set then let me know what apps and I can create them for you. Also the instructions for using them is just below that file.

2. If you are rooted you can download a program called shootme from the market. It allows you to create the screen shots.

now why was i charged twice & 2 diff prices for spending limit program charges? Was anyone charged this way? Is that spending limit charge needed necessarily for the evo? Cuz if i can take it off itll be better. The plan said $70 a month not about $100!! Wtf. Im just sayin...am i being overcharged or charged twice for things i dont need

Call Sprint....They are good about reversing charges that they should not be charging. I will look at my bill for this month and let ya know if I see it.

From my experience you cant but that app called Folder Organizer works well so I deleted the folders I had made and now using this app to keep things organized, plus it gives you a few organizing options.
 
I have 2 browsers on my phone. Internet explorer and skyfire. When I erase the history on one it erases the history on both. Can this be changed so that i can erase one and not the other.

Sounds like an issue with the skyfire browser....I have never used it so I have no idea if it can be changed.
 
Help. I am sure this is a repost, but I have search over 30 Threads of this forum and no luck. I have yahoo mail. All of a sudden I am getting yahoo mail notification in my notification bar. I do not want this. this is mostly junk and mail about sales, I just check it on my own here and there.
The yahoo settings do not have an option regarding notifications. I was able to turn the notification light off through my settings,but not the yahoo email notification.

Anytime you get a phone plan...plan on about $20-$30 in taxes and fees to be added to your plan. Seems this is true with most phone companies. It is still cheaper than an Iphone plan. Trust me! I always call about charges on our bill to have them removed or reversed.
 
After I set up syncing with Facebook, my contact's phone numbers show up after their name in the "messages" app. Before I set up FB sync it was just "name: message" now its "name (phone number): message". Possible to disable this? And why does it happen??

Sorry I don't use Facebook so I have never looked into the settings....so sorry.
