titanium backup root

Hi guys

I have a big problem...
I preformed a backup of all my apps before I erased all content on my phone storage then performed a factory reset. I installed 'Titanium Backup Root' on the fresh system & done a restore of my apps & data...but there was no apps to restore! I have checked my SDCard & there is a folder data>com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup>settings, under this folder there is 5 files;
databases~custom
databases~filters
databases~schedules
databases~sysinfo
shared_prefs~com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup_prefrences.xml

As you can see all the files seem to be here but Titanium can't see them for some reason.
I then done a backup of one of my current apps to check the location of the backup files & it goes into the same folder.

How can I get my data back?

/data/data/com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup is where the app settings live, but shouldn't be the default backup folder. That should be on /sdcard (mine is /sdcard/TitaniumBackup). If you previously had a non-default location then you will need to set the location again after reinstalling Titanium (in Titanium settings).

But the key question is whether your factory reset wiped /sdcard as well. If it did then it erased your backup too. If you have a removable card you could use card reader, a PC and some file recovery software to get it back (don't write to the card in the meanwhile). If it's not, and the phone only allows MTP rather than USB mass storage, then it may be very difficult.

Just to be clear, did you back up to the internal or external sd?
And how did you do the reset? (in custom recovery or in stock recovery or the phone's settings?

How did you fix it?

Just in case other members stumble upon this thread with the same problem so they can benefit from your solution :)

Glad you got it solved as well :thumbup:
