Titanium Pro didn't backup everything - alternative?

I ran the script to backup everything on my rooted S5 and when I came to restore age a fresh ROM flash, only around 50% of the apps/app data backup up.

I was not impressed.

I don't want to troubleshoot, I've lost all confidence in the app.

What alternatives do you guys use?

Depends on what apps didn't come over. Apps that are tied to the ROM for example won't restore, like the default Messaging app by Samsung, the S Calendar, S Voice, etc. Those apps are tied to the Samsung ROM, and would not install on any other ROM. In these cases, it won't matter what backup app you use. They won't carry over.

Half of my games, for one.

You need to take care ensuring that TiB's filters are set correctly e.g. both System & User apps are selected, plus everything else set to all, in order to back up every installed app. Also, in Preferences there's an option to include app data that should be selected.

@slug I thought it wasn't generally recommended to back up system apps mate? I never do anyway.

I was opposite from you OP. I bought MyBackup Pro, it let me down once so I ditched it for titanium pro.
I'm trying to think what's went wrong. I know you don't want to troubleshoot but can you try going into batch actions, "restore missing apps", maybe something interrupted the restore

I've used titanium backup ever since my first android. How much space is on the phone to store the backups? That has been the only issue I've ever ran into. The games don't have anything that would prevent them from backing up do they?

I'd never restore them to another device or Android version, but as a backup of the current config it should be safe enough. A complete CWM/TWRP recovery image is best of course, but I like a belt-and-braces approach.
