To fold, or not to fold.

Honestly I like the idea. I watch videos on my phone so I can't see how a bigger screen would be detrimental to that. Only problem is I've got better things to spend a couple grand on at the moment. In three or four years I think when all the kinks are ironed out (no pun intended Huawei) ;)

Love the GalxyFold :)

Galaxy Fold in LTE $1980 ♨️ & 5G $2500 ? I think
For that Price, should we not get 24/7 Customer services
Like on the Vertu Constellation
Heard it does come with a 24/7 customer Service :)

*Wondering how will we use it on a Selfie stick* with or without the Fold lol

I wish the Samsung Logo lighted up like the Asus had behind its gaming phone Now that would be Awesome

The battery was a bummer only 4380
Need a bigger 6000mAh Battery
The S10 5G has a bigger 4500mAh & 25W Charging
It's SAD that a Phone with *DUAL BATTERY* has a smaller battery :(

Time 2:27
So could we open the Phone turn it around and take a Selfie with the Back Cameras looking at the small front screen But still, Question remains how will I be taking a Selfie with it
Only when the phone is closed?
so will be paying double the price & get just a Single front Camera hhmmm

Ever thought, there is no way to open the phone and put it on a Stick unless a special stick comes in the box to do that

This is what folding phone cases will look like

No Headphones Jack, that doesn't bother me Would be nice to have this fold on Note 10 with the Pen

Glad it has faster charging of 25W

Even if its 1st generation product, don't have the patience to wait a whole year, for the next Fold 2
*YES, I will be getting the Galaxy Fold*
Only 1 mil units made of Galaxy Fold
*So that will make me 1 in a Million*
So the S10+ = $1000
The S10 5G = $1500
Galaxy Fold LTE = $1980 is ok Galaxy Fold 5G = 2400 ? ( will get this IF the battery is bigger 5000mAh Plz )
I can understand for some a Bridge too Far

Will we be getting the Fold & S10+ 5G in the slower 8nm Exynos in Asia ☹
That won't be fair then, to pay that price Hope it comes in the Faster Snapdragon 7nm CPU

I highlighted things im excited about in Galaxy Fold
& what about you guy ?

Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X sales have been started and, if you are fond of trying something new and exciting, we would recommend you to go for them.

Phones might appear bulky but, they aren't. Yes, it would take some time to get accustomed to the new foldable design but, this is what the future of smartphones is.

While they have their own pros and cons, you can still read about the spec-to-spec comparison of Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X.

What if we had them in the 1990s?

..Wtf was THAT?! I think it was just missing the corded suitcase and color LCD. (Sega had them for Game Gear, dangit why'd it take so long for our phones?!) Lol. The midi ringtones were a nice reminder how far we've come..

As for the no sdcard slot? Total FAIL!!! Once your device goes belly up, so do all your storage files. It's better have a removable sdcard..

That is the question.

Would a folding phone be of any interest to anyone? I'm at a loss to see the appeal, other than it's new and has some geek cred.

I could see a folding phone would be with some interest to some versus the conventional flip phone that's a folding phone which is making a comeback or just having the convenience to making it more compact and manageable. But for every device has its pros and cons and those lie within the boundaries of the eye of the beholder.

I seen Yamaha 850 motorcycle for the same price. I rather have the motorcycle because I can make a miracle Mile riding it.

The trouble is that I've never had a device fail like that but have had an SD card fail abruptly and without warning. So I do not regard data as being safer for being on a removable card.

And of course if the device is lost or stolen it makes no difference either way. So as far as I'm concerned having a backup (not on the device) is what matters, and SD Vs internal is not so important.

I always make a backup every month
on my Surface Book 2 (1TB) & its backup on my SSD T3 (2TB)

but very excited about UFS 3.0 in Galaxy Fold that will be blazing fast

15 years ago Nokia came out with a phone that folded (6800). In the phone world of 2004, it was something that was seemingly a good solution to the text communication explosion.

The Galaxy fold strikes me similarly ... it's clever, gadgety, technological, innovative ... and completely unnecessary.
