The reason I am making this a public thing is because I believe your contribution is Magnanamous!!

Specifically I wanted to thank you for a new little app called wifi

This little app that you hacked so that we can now use it is AWESOME!!

I have never attained such high internet speeds before. At times it reaches well above 2 Mbs

This app works WAY better than Barnicle EVER thought about.
It NEVER drops it just keeps plugin away. Pda Net cant hold a candle to it either.

So please tell us Did you hack it to make it faster or what in the world did you do to it to make it work so AWESOME!! ?

Thank you for your Amon-Ra Back up as well With out that, much of what we do would not be possible. :D

And for the kernals and OC stuff
and for the Froyo stuff.
and for the ....... etc etc.


WAY TO MUCH STUFF.. Your a busy boy lets just leave it at that.

Also If you are somone who hasnt tried this new wifi app, Try it now.

Either use Velocity 0.4 It comes stock on that..... or Download the .apk file here.

I submitted the changes back to the developer of android-wireless-tether for root users so now the current version works for most lg models now. Its just a better app than the others thats all. All credit goes to him. I simply made his code work for our devices.

So can we have some more deets on what it is, what it does, and exactly what is needed to use it? I run Velocity now, but have no inclination to flash a different kernel. (Not even sure why anyone would do that.)

Can you make it so simply having Velocity ROM qualifies the Ally to use it?
 
Not sure if this is the right place for this discussion, but if you have velocity .4, you already have the right kernel, unless you flashed the gridlock custom kernel. as long as you didnt do that, you already have the wifi app, and the kernel to run it.

And by the way, I also want to say THANK YOU! to Drell for all the work he is doing and has done.

If you have the newest Velocity Youve already got it. You have the wifi app and the kernal to use it.

Your good to go Bro. Its the icon near the bottom thats bright green that looks like a wifi symbol.

As for what it does is allows you to have an ad hoc wireless connection for any of your wireless devices. Basically it turns your your phone into a portable wifi hotspot.
 
Just out of curiosity, will we be charged for the megabytes used through the wifi app or will it be considered as part of the data plan. I really like it and getitnowmarketing is awesome!
