Root To root or not to root?

Only reason I want this thing rooted for is so I can move apps to SD. I normally root all my phones but I've been satisfied enough with this one NOT to root... Only flaw with this phone is apparently I can't move apps to SD unless I'm rooted which is wack. I looked at the process to get the apps to sd and I really don't wanna go through all that. Is there an easier way to get apps2sd or do I really need to root and all that?

Personally, root is a must for me and I never buy a device unless it has root. I don't see any disadvantages to rooting, especially when the rooting process for this device is pretty much one-click.

When you look at the adb script lines you'll be like how did LG make it so easy? No exploit needed at all....

Yes. I think you could root straight from the phone....

So where do I get adb?

If you follow the "how to root" guide that GameTheory posted, you don't need to download adb separately. The script that you download from that thread has everything you need besides usb drivers. It's should be as simple as extracting the .zip file on your computer, hooking up your phone, and running run.bat.

Can I use adbwireless to root my phone?

ADB Wireless will not work for rooting because you must already be rooted to install adb wireless. In other words, adb wireless cannot be installed till the phone is rooted.
