I have an extra evo that I am taking off the sprint network but its rooted and has groove ip and google voice. Once sprint has cancelled the line can i still get on the internet with wifi and make calls with groove/google? Im a noob (old guy) so hopefully this doesnt go over my head. Thanks guys

yes as long as you have wifi you can use any VOIP you want, but you have to be on wifi. i have my evo still (currently letting a friend use it), and i use it to stream netflix, google play music app, and the internet still and it is disconnected from sprint.
voice over the internet protocol. skype is voip for example. groove use google voice voip to make phone calls. well there is no guide, but once your service is over with sprint all you need to do is find and connect to a wifi network, install your voip like groove and you are set.
