To those upgrading through AT&T Customer Service

Talked with cancellations department for about 40 minutes, once done I will be able to upgrade three lines for the upgrade price, had two lines on a family plan that were upgradable, one was not due til August, was told that he would move that to Sunday so that I can upgrade to the HTC Inspire. WOO HOO

He told me that the Inspire would require a 25 dollar data plan, I have the old unlimited, so I can keep that, he also said that I will be able to swap my BB sim card into the HTC Inspire, at the end of the conversation he said he was also giving me 4000 rollover minutes to add to the account for being a valuable customer, for 16 years. Thank you AT&T
 
Nicely done. Are you going to be able to go into a store and get your phone or do you have to order it from cancellations? If you are ordering from cancellations, when are you doing so?

The earliest you're able to from what I have been told is Monday morning.

This is what I was told too. Except the guy doesn't get in until 2 pm. Im going to call back to make sure the order is processed and shipped to make sure the phones get here on tuesday. Unless this gentleman has any new information on the subject...

This is what I've done...

I've spoken to so many people in Cancellations, that my notes are super detailed as to how much I'm getting it for and all the perks with it... like the shipping and what not.

I am ordering it at 9AM Monday morning. And, if all goes well, I will have my new phone Tuesday morning.
 
He told me how to call, i.e. dial 611, press 0, then press 2 to get his department, all info was annotated on my account, so if he was busy another person could take care of the order. Hell he might have lied to me just to make me happy, but att would not do that.
 
if you guys want me to check if your account notes actually say the right thing let me know. I dont want you guys to get any surprises come launch day lol

or if you are uncomfortable with that,

you can call customer care and just tell them "this is what happened, there should be notes in the account, i want to make sure that they are there and say the correct thing"
 
Just called Customer Service to confirm what I was told earlier today, was told that everything was infact annotated on my account as I was told, then I asked about Sunday, he said sorry closed on Sunday, will have to call on Monday, so Monday it is.
