Root Tomorrow, we root... (We, meaning I)

So I've used the unrevoked; and my phone has been going loading between the o2 splash screen, to the HTC logo about 4 times... Normal, not normal, broke, not broke?

First boot can take a long time (10 minutes I guess.)

If it's in a bootloop then pull the battery and reboot (not if it's flashing!)

I'll keep an eye then. Still rebooting over and over again (I've only done the first step according to the link I put up before, and loaded unrevoked, and the phone restarted)

It does reboot several times. Leave it for now.

Ta muchly. I'll leave it be for now... On another note, in doing this process, can one get rid of the o2 splash screen? It's a small thing, but it really fries my head?
Cheers for the help chaps! It's really appreciated.

As per post above, you have an app called theme chooser in teh app drawer. When you install theme chooser apks (apps), they become selectable and applyable within this app. No flash, NOT version specific, modifyable in the kitchen.

edit> Infact I have dannycomb I can post for you (its honeybread modified by me to include honeycomb battery) and also one with tiny circle battery.

Dannycomb Honeycomb battery http://db.tt/RHerGAA
Dannycomb Tiny Circle Battery http://db.tt/vDyqbE8

OK put the apk on the Sd card and tried to run it with ES file explorer and it says Parse error, there is a problem parsing the package.

Something I'm doing that's dumb?

Most ROMs have their own bootscreen I found, but the kitchen can often supply a new one that you want.

Ta again...

Update on the rebooting thing.... still doing it; any ideas, or leave well alone?

If it's still looping through boot then I would pull the battery.

But SUroot would be your best bet for expert advice.
(I tend to break things ROM related ;) )

If its still doing it something is wrong. What does unrevoked say on the screen?

@ Kibster, I use astro myself.

Try redownloading and putting them on SD again.

It says

'Waiting for root... (safe to restart if this doesn't work)
Recovery image: ClockworkMod Recovery'

Cheers for the help chief

EDIT: Still cycling....

safe to restart. Pull battery like Kibbster suggests

What are your phone specs? Software build, hboot version etc?

Did you do anything like Force all apps to SD?

Guess you're not erase size 40,000 if you're flashing clockwork?

Unrevoked said not successful, so did it again and it seemed to work, so now I'm backing up the data in titanium. Will keep you updated. Cheers boss!

Cool. Be very selective what you restore

DONE!!! Just installed gingervillian and it looks great!!! As far as restoring things, I backed up everything to dropbox, so I don't really need to have it all back on the phone. Just the essential apps I use, and the contacts were all synced with gmail anyway!

So, Now I'm rooted, where can I go do do brilliant things i couldn't do before!!?!??!
