Root Too late for MIUI Gingerbread?

Also, the CM7 overclocked kernels from this thread will work with this ROM. I'm running at 900MHz right now with the CM7-ext kernel. If you are not familiar with TrenchKatos kernels, all of the phones cannot handle 946MHz so adjust your phone accordingly. Try turning your phone up a little at a time. If it starts crashing, you've gone 2 high. I recommend reading TrenchKatos thread first.

beside the fact the 3g sucks the rom is freaking awesome but i guess in terms of the prevail .... 3g always sucked .... great job .... question how to get themes to work??

Quick reminder guys, we try to keep things organized and even as staff there are times we have difference of opinions. There is nothing wrong with that, if there were we might as well all be iSheep. ;)

EDIT: Bugs
Found a few more bugs. Desktop transitions will not change, Device settings crashes when tapped and text cannot be read in the Beautiful Widgets app. It's there and can be seen when the screen is tapped but very hard to select options because it disappears as soon as I remove my finger from the screen. That's pretty much all I've found except for all of the status bar tweaks (battery,signal,etc)not changing. I mentioned that earlier though. Other than that, it looks like most everything else is working so far.

thanks...& yea flash doesn't work, and HQ videos on are slow or just the sound is played...and signal is not changing...battery does change

thx.. all are known issues and have already been posted. Other than that, this ROM runs smooth. It's gonna be nice when the bugs are fixed.

Also, try MiLocker from the market for the lockscreen. Works like a charm. I'm running the transformer 1 right now. lol:D
 
Hello again peoples. Sorry for not being around much today. Progress is moving albeit slowly. Why all the drama over the thread location. It doesn't bother me being moved over here so why is it bothering others. Be excellent to one another that's what bill says. :) If for any reason I don't get back quickly im sorry. Beat me to it wetbiker about the tweaks and Device Settings....I wonder though if its because of crossing CM7 with MIUI...you know duplicate settings and overlapping files...just wondering

Just make sure that you set it to SPLIT. If you don't and the text msg is 2 long, it'll mess it up.. I'm using Handcent but the messaging app that comes with is cool too.;)

May be..... Blovadova would know better than I. I have noticed that different setting in the main menu will take you to the same place though.:)

In the messaging app settings there is an option to split the amount of text characters. You will need to split your characters every 160. If it goes above that the message will be in code when received. The person won't be able to read it.
