Help Too many bugs, this is going back

Every smartphone maker has their quality issues. I mean, look at the BB storm for crying out loud. What a piece of junk. My Inc was rock solid though, but I would have to pry it from my wife's hands now that it's been hers for 6 months. That had EAS issues too and had to depend on Touchdown.

The only device that seems to really fit the bill for me and my need for flawless communication is a BB. I hate to even breathe those words, but it's come to the point where I haven't found a single android device that can handle messaging as effectively. So many things about BB I don't like, but the couple of things it excels at are what I need at the moment. I suppose I'll have to forgo the fun stuff and the most excellent big screen, but at the end of the day I have a smartphone for work first, fun second.

Mobile messaging was created by BB... They are the end-all, be-all when it comes to a "standard" of what everyone else should live up to in that regard.

My perfect phone would be a 4" android with a slide out portrait bb keyboard, trackpad, bes integration and lifetime warranty. Falling short of that magic phone, messaging is my top priority, so I guess BB it is. blech.

Well you might be able to come back to Android soon... Rim has announced that they will be releasing BBM for Android and iOS soon. It wont have all the features of BBM on a BB device, but it is suppose to be pretty nice.

I just returned my TB for the iPhone 4.

Couldn't deal with the battery life, loss of data for like 5 minutes at least everyday and then some glitches in the OS. Skype without video bugged me too.

Not every phone coming off the line will be perfect unless a robot is doing all the work.

Totally wrong. 1st of all the TB (and any reasonably high production volume phone) manufacturing and assembly is largely done by robots these days. I've visited some of the factories. Also even the precision of robots that alone does not address all quality issues. Problems by design or tolerances or a whole slew of other factors can still be present.
