Ah, when I was a lad the rule was never to put anything you didn't want the world to know on a networked computer. Mind you, most people didn't have any home computer or network connection, so it was easy to follow

I'm annoyed right now about personalization. There's places to put all your info on the phone. It's my phone, I know who I am so why do I have to?
I'm tired of "everyone else does, it's customary, etc."
Personalization to me is a pic of my cat's butt with the words "Eff Off"
(I did have something like that as a splash screen on 98SE. You could change the stupid Windows one)

The carriers don't necessarily want to spy on you. That's not their gig, and they're not exactly the type to embrace new things.Why do carriers want to 'spy' on us? I really don't understand.
