For a dead pixel. They said they can fix it. I told them i even used the two apps they have and did not work. 2 effing hours for them to fix it. I did not feel like driving up there and then having to drive back. Funny thing was one of the sprint reps accidentally scrolled to my bookmark page where i had 2 porn sites lol. Felt a little embarrassed. Anyway if they cant fix it i get a new manufactured one which will be good since i have 5 scratches on my screen. If this happens they can transfer my entire setup to the new phone right? I know i just remove the SD card and put it in new one, but can they transfer apps and stuff like that?

Well i had a dead pixel and took it to the sprint store and they ended up replacing the back lighting for free. Along with a new screen too. I had 5 small scratches on the screen, ill be damned, they replaced it all for free. 2 hours out of my time. Boy am i one happy customer now. I went straight to radio shack and bought the invisible shield as i didnt want that happening again.

So to those with dead pixels or maybe even scratches on your screen. Take it up to your nearest sprint store and see what they can do. They did tell me if they could not fix it i would have to get a refurbished one which wasnt that bad of a thing. So all in all i give sprint two thumbs up right now.

It's my understanding that Sprint didn't have any parts from HTC to fix anything on the Evo. Maybe this problem is different, but when i took mine in they told me my only choice was to get a new one on their dime, which i did.

No. Contacts, yes. Apps, pics and everything else no.

I actually just took mine in yesterday for a dead pixel. The guy said they could replace the LCD in the store, or order me a new one. So apparantly they DO have the parts to fix them. I just took the new one, I'd rather not have someone hacking away at my phone to fix the innards.
