Root [TOOL] LG Laf Recovery MultiTool v1.2

Hi

I have no idea how old you people are and what you do. Maybe you're 20 something and study computers. Anyway.... I'm 47 and am a medical doctor but I've done many diffrent things in my life and it frustrates me when I'm busy with something and it goes wrong. Especially when my intention was improving something but it turned to be worse or not working at all :-) I format my computers which is of course a very simple task for you guys ;-) I've changed the clutch of my car 3 times when I was student and didn't have enough money (which I think you computer guys can't? LOL)
I have a Lg L70 which doean't have enough storage capacity and as we all know there are lots of useless apps which are put in our phones by the phone makers or the providers. I read something about rooting and then using an app which I could use to remove some unwanted apps. Rooting went without any problem but it seems I'd deleted some essential files (or drivers? have no idea what you call it) and as result the phone was crashed!
I got that purple message on screen exactly like the one you've suggested the solution for.
I've been busy for 3 days and probably more than 15 hours, doing factory reset of my phone maybe more than 50 times till I finally could learn how to use computer, command and usb debugging connection etc.

I'd like to thank you all as my phone is working again. Well...... I had to buy a Motorola motto G as I had no phone but I'll keep this LG as reserve. You never know when I'd f... my phone again!

Take care and best wishes guys
Farshad

Hi,
i start the script on my lg d325 and i choose the "c" option - zero laf
so i did not do the "a" option - backup laf

and my questions - is that wrong so badly ? what can i do ?

Hi,
I have a LG L70 D320n, I have never rooted it or installed any custom ROM's.
A few weeks ago it started to randomly crash the App's I am using.
4 days ago I turned it off over night and at the next day when I wanted it to turn on again I got stuck in a boot loop. I tried to do a factory reset with a key combo which didn't work.
When I try to go in download mode I only get a purple screen which says "DBI Err Fatal!.

This thread and Google didn't help me, I have no idea what to do now.
Can anyone help me please?

Hi Geraldo92, the same happened to me. After trying things out (even downloaded the tool that only official LG shops use), but nothing worked. So my case was worse than the others described here. So I took it to an LG shop. You have to know that I live in Hungary, Györ. That's a big city but not the capital so the " main" LG shop isn't the local one. The shopkeeper told me: "I'm sure you've rooted your phone, so you warranty is lost. He even stamped the warranty paper. Then I got angry. I went to the main LG shop in the capital of Hungary (Budapest). The shopkeeper said: OK, my colleagues say your phone is rooted, but they can't prove it, so we have to accept your warranty EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS THE STAMP ON FROM MY LOCAL LG DEALER! They weren't able to repair the software, but they replaced the main PCB. So my phone works now and I didn't have to pay. But obviously this only works if you have a valid warranty.

I have done all of option from LG Laf Recovery MultiTool v1.2 but DBI err still there.
in my case, i can't went to fastboot and recovery but my phone working good. Any solution?

Hi...

I'm aware I'm in a thread not aimed for my phone, but since I also own a l70 and used most of all the useful tools, I was wondering if this thing to zero out a partition to trigger fastboot, is something that would be possible on any Android phone? I came across some boot info from a qualcomm development site and saw this:

This made me think that maybe it's possible to trigger a hidden/decrypted bootloader (fastboot) if I can temporarily zero out the right boot partition (with adb commands)?

Can anybody advice me what developer I should turn to with such a question?

This is my partitions btw:

I have a LG L70 D325 F8 . But does not go into download mode and or Hard Reset . When I try these options it hangs on a pink screen writing : DBI FATAL ERR . CAUSE: BOOT CERTIFICATION VERIFY . I've tried using the LG Flash tool but it does not go into download mode. Always I put it the original rom . Did not root, not unlocked the bootload . Help please.

Hi
I have tried to use this tool but had no effect on my phone. That is because it is not in the list of the connected devices. I have the latest driver installed, prepared all what is required but I think that my problem is with the phone being unable to enter download mode.

Can someone help me with this? I really don't know what is causing my phone from stopping entering download mode and returning to the pink screen.
When I connect it to PC it recognizes it as a storage device. I can't change how it sees my phone since I have Fatal Error and can't chose those options now :/

Hi, you message is a bit confusing. Does your system boot up normally, or it's stuck at the "pink screen" with DBI fatal error?
Can you enter a fastboot mode? Your download mode will be unavailable if you've erased your LAF partition. You need to flash LAF back if you need a download mode.

OK. Here it is how things are. I'll explain a bit thorough now. Also my model is LG L70 d320n

Few days ago I got notification saying there is software update for my phone. I downloaded (on the phone) it and started to install. There was a message saying the phone will take some time to install and will reboot a few times as well. I proceeded with the installation.
Installation started, but got stuck at some point, which I noticed after 30 or 45 minutes from start. Screen was light pink with nothing written on it.
I assumed that there was some trouble and tried to stop it somehow. I Pressed all the buttons, but the phone was not responsive at all. Ultimately for me, to stop it, I pulled out the battery and turned it off like that.
At that point I went to turn it on again, but when I did that, It started to boot and the error showed up. It was DBI Err Fatal with pink screen.

First thing I did after that is to look it up on the web, what is it and how can it be fixed. I saw several videos of how to unbrick it from there. I also went to numerous forums on XDA Developers, as well as here also, in search of instructions for solving my problem.
I came upon many of helpful advices and instructions.
Next thing what I did was gathering all the stuff needed for resolving this issue.
I downloaded all:
ADB drivers, LG driver (latest I could find), LG Flash Tool 2014, LG Laf Recovery Multitool 1.2, D320n10d_00_0630 KDZ file,

But my biggest problem in solving is this:

When I try to enter the Download mode (with right key combo), during booting it shows small massage at top:
Download mode
Loading.....

But then it pops Error: Boot certification verifiy and then proceeds to DBI Err Fatal screen.

My phone can not be recognized by my PC. Even without the sd card, it shows it as external memory device.
I must say that I formatted that partition on phone and it erased those two folders that were there (Image and Verinfo)

I really can't do anything with the phone, and I am desperate for help with this.
I hope there can be a solution for this behavior of this phone model.
