Root [TOOL] Warp 4G CWM Flasher

Hanging on black screen after it checks everything ok. I shall burn to another cd :)

It's possible it won't work with your display setup. It works on most but there are a few. If you have the ability to try it on a different pc it may work. As you said, it could also be a bad burn. Additionally, I don't know if any of them work.

Burnt this one at 4x, i hope it does. Think i have an old desktop monitor layin around i could hook up to this laptop to try at a dif res

the one in the op boots for sure and will work for that purpose nicely. It still may not work on your pc. It does work on other pc's. The broken part is the auto script. Adb works great.

edit: you can make a bootable usb drive if you prefer to save money on discs. Take a look at unetbootin.

Oh wow..so i plug old monitor up to laptop wich only read a black screen, and i have a distorted image, but i can right click and use. Hmm..

On both monitors

It worked!!!! Plugging in the old monitor before reboot worked perfectly, thank you for the tips SuperR. Now..time to get that dmesg haha.

Ok guys I used warplte_cwm_flasher_3.iso | warplte_cwm_flasher_3.iso | by superr for Warp 4G on a usb drive Booted cwm and then flashed cwm flashable_cwm_warplte_2.zip. Then I rebooted recovery to cwm and flashed a stock rooted rom from here [ROM] Stock B07 JB 4.1.2 Unmodified and Deodexed worked just fine for my N9510 and now is back to normal unbricked. Make sure you back up your device in cwm after all of this is done and you unbrick. Thank you to all the forums and users who helped me along the way especially SuperR

I'm not using a PC to do root-related customizing. Is this possible? And if so does the cwm flasher (for rooted Boost Mobile warp 4g) come in another format besides image?
Thanks

This tool is for pc use only. If you are just trying to get a custom recovery on your rooted device, the threads for the custom recoveries have instructions. You can use terminal emulator to install the recovery without a pc, or you can use something like flashify. I have never used flashify so I won't be much help with troubleshooting it.

Really appreciate the assistance Super. I really just want to increase performance and visual effects, not develop anything or over-tweak there are threads that will help me accomplish these 2 goals? Thanks for your help.

At the moment, I believe jock kernel is your best bet for increasing performance, although rbheromax is working on a new kernel as well. I don't overclock so I can't really be of much assistance. Regarding visual effects, not sure what you mean but you could try a variety of launchers from the play store.
PS. I bought CWM's RomManager Premium v5.5.3.7 and JRummy's Rom Toolbox Pro. Will I ever be able to use them?
I don't use either of those apps but I have heard others mention them around this forum. Read up, that is the best way to learn ;)

Alright, I can do that. I was just trying to save some time by asking someone, I get really bad headaches from extensive reading. I suffered major trauma to my head, neck and back when I had a spinal cord injury from a pretty bad motorcycle accident. But I appreciate your help and this forum. Thanks again and have a good evening.

Thanks. Unfortunately I bricked it last night...

I bet it's not hard bricked. What did you do when you "bricked" it? If you flashed something, please post a link to what you flashed so I can see what you flashed over and we can probably get it fixed.

Her's what I did...
[Tutorial] How to install CWM using Terminal Emulator
This is the EASIEST way to install CWM on ur device.

First, make sure ur rooted
Second, download terminal emulator from the play store.
Third, download the newest CWM 6 from Here, https://www.dropbox.com/s/if97pvabjwg2yuy/CWM-6.0.2.7-warp2.img , make sure u put this download into the root of ur sdcard and rename that To recovery.img
Fourth, open up terminal and type "su" to Gain Root access, click allow.
Lastly, type "dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p13" just copy and paste, dnt include the tick marks--->("")

And thats it, just reboot ur phn n hold the volume up button n it shud go into recovery mode

Thanks to junkie and super for bringing CWM 6 to us! u guys ROCK!!! lol

Now it won't boot at all, is not recognized through my laptops USB, and is TOTALLY non-responsive. I was really afraid to try this method as I cold at least able to boot into a recovery mode w/o the terminal emulator. I'm screwed because I can hardly get out and have no other phone. Guess my idea to root was rotten. I appreciate the replys of help though.

First, you should NEVER use anything from another device. That tutorial is for the warp sequent, not the warp 4g. If you used that exact line including the mmcblk0p13 part, you flashed a recovery image over the aboot partition which is why you can't boot. Most devices would not be able to recover from this so please learn a lesson lol. Luckily, the warp 4g can recover, but you need to use a pc. You will also need either an empty usb flash drive or a blank cd/dvd.

Follow the instruction on this post
http://androidforums.com/boost-mobi...0940-tool-alpha-zte-warp-4g-unbrick-tool.html

but use this iso instead of the one in the post above
warplte_test_unbrick_2.iso
