Root [TOOL] Warp 4G CWM Flasher

Lesson learned for sure. That thread was definitely about the warp 4g but I guess I should have read the specifics leading up to that post. Anyway, I plugged it in to laptop and it does not connect. Is there a reason it won't recognize my device through the usb port?

Did you follow the instructions in the thread I linked in my last post? If not then there are many reasons lol

edit: and that thread you followed earlier is absolutely NOT for the Warp 4G. Definitely for the warp2 aka Warp Sequent

Got my 4g back ready to flash cwm, I guess when I boot to usb drive containing iso on my laptop, my phone should be tether to my laptop with usb cable. Correct?

Yes. The script will tell you to plug in your device if you forget.

Unbricked and charging. So in the event you were a betting man you would have won! Thanks and I'm ready to try this again. I don't want to come off as stupid just learned a harsh lesson from high impact bike wreck and things get jumbled now. Have CompTIA training but it comes and goes as does focus and concentration so I appreciate the help, really I do. With that said where do you recommend I start again...?
Dazed but smiling again

Glad it's working for you :) Now that you have unbricked, you also have PhilZ recovery installed so just flash any rom you want and you should be good to go. All the roms have instructions in the original thread posts so just make sure you follow them.
And would that have been called a soft-brick?
In this case yes, soft brick. If you had done that same thing on most other devices it would have been hard bricked though.

After I unbricked it I just plugged it in to charge. So you are saying Philz installed in the process? And I can't say thank you enough SuperR. I will follow the thread extremely careful this time.

Yes, the unbrick tool installs PhilZ recovery so you can boot to recovery and flash a rooted rom :)

Fantastic. Jock and SuperROM are next. Let you know how it turns out. Have a great night and thanks a bunch brother.

Make sure you flash the Warp 4G SuperROM lol. Also flash the rom before the kernel because if you do it the other way around the rom will put stock kernel back on your device.

Hey SuperR it's me again. While I download SuperROM_v2.7.zip and just want to clarify a few things to avoid bricking my Warplte 4g. 1.) Since I bricked this device, I had my service switched over to my HTC One so after if I install the custom rom on the warp will I have a problem transferring the service back to this device or does the carrier have to be set back up prior to the download? 2.) After downloading SuperROM and rebooting in recovery mode then wiping data/factory reset, will Philz then appear to let me install SuperROM, or this all one step? 3.) Can I do this w/o being connected to my pc? And lastly, can I install from my internal (non-removable) SD card? Sorry for these seemingly obvious questions i just don't want to brick my device again? Thanks

1) You will not have trouble switching back to the warp 4g. You can do it online but you will need some info from either the box or under the battery.

2) When you boot into recovery it will be PhilZ. You will see wipe data/factory reset and install zip as options. Do them according to the instructions in the ROM thread

3)Yes

4) You can but I find it easier to install from external sdcard. It depends on how you are going to get the zip on your device. This would be considered personal preference

Please start posting in the relevant threads. If it is a rom question post in the rom thread, unbrick questions go in the unbrick thread, PhilZ questions in the PhilZ thread. This is CWM Flasher thread lol

Sorry about posting in the wrong threads. And thank you for your help. I will follow the instructions as prompted and post accordingly. Have a great night brother.

Last post I swear. I tried volume up & power but nothing. volume down & power same thing, nothing happened. Then volume up & down & power and it just has a red light up top but black screen. Last ask for help I promise....

Hold vol down and power until recovery boots up. If you can't get it to work, you can download an app from the play store for now. One that I know works is Holo Reboot Root. It's small and will get the job done.

For some reason I had to hold vol up, down & power, but it finally installed and I am 100% good to go! Thanks for the unending support and awesome ROM. I love it already and haven"t even tweaked it that much. I'll be upgrading to premium and donating here shortly. 5 stars for you SuperR, you really did some great work here. Jock kernel is next, if I even find it necessary. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks again.

not PC, download and install linux mint with usb stick. tried unetbootin boot usb complete, still wont boot from stick?will try to make utility boot stick and test boot.

ok ..here is what I did, went back to win8, downloaded unetbootin, downloaded cwm flasher_6, flash iso with unetbootin but did not check box iso. Rebooted to usb device boot failed, press ok took me back to boot menu, click usb in boot menu, booted to cwm flasher_6 installed cwm and SuperR rom, all good. (1) note when flash iso to usb do not disconnect usb go straight to restart. just my opinion. thank u super as always!

after reboot no cwm.One question, there is a step when installing cwm when I get a message saying waiting on device. On my phone I am looking at cwm recovery saying reboot device. Should I reboot cwm or wait on message before proceeding?

I am not certain what you mean, but others have reported the need to flash a cwm flashable zip once the tool gets you booted into cwm.

ok...tried it again, while in cwm on usb stick, installed cwm.zip from sdcard1 rebooted after install, exit cwm installer on usb stick.Seems to have worked ! Made a backup with rom manager date is 1970-01-12.05.42.47 ?
