Root Touch Recovery From OV?

I imagine it'd have to be ported. That'd be something to ask playfulgod about. He's done a lot to get CWM and ROM Manager over to our phone. I was one of the early adopters of CWM after he got it ported and working for the OM; and now we even can use ROM Manager to download and install the custom recovery. I'd definitely love to see the touch recovery on the OM though.
 
buttons on the OV dont work on the OM, I found that out when I flashed an OV rom to the OM....to fix it I changed the boot.img file in the .zip to a boot made for the OM and that fixed button and touch screen issues. http://androidforums.com/optimus-m-...imus-v-roms-do-flash-touchscreen-working.html

I'm thinking that one of 2 things will happen with a recovery from that phone flashed onto the OM (when not ported)
1. It will boot into recovery fine, but buttons won't work right in recovery (when you boot up normally it will work fine though)
2. The phone will reject it and go into fastboot

I'll try it, gotta nandroid backup my phone first though...
 
Yup, went into fastboot...
Fixed it very fast without erasing any data :D, I'm a pro at fastboot now :D:D

Yeah, I'm not sure if I want to bother him, though. He's probably working on more important things. And yeah, it would be really awesome to have a touch recovery on this old phone. :)

Oh how much easier it would be to flash that ICSTHEME ROM each time lol...
 
The v and s are very similar, but they are both different from the m and c, the m and c are like twins
