Root Touch Recovery

I keep getting error messages lately...

E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log

Anyone seen this before on CWM Touch? Never had a problem with the old CWM. This started happening after doing a full wipe and re-flashing ctmod from CM9.

Monster, is it safe to re-run the installer and replace this CWM touch with a fresh one?

I have had that come up. It just means that those files have been deleted and you have no recovery logs. It happens every time you do a factory wipe. Once you boot your Rom it will be fine.

Alright that makes sense. I did remember seeing that on the old CWM after wiping, but maybe it just didnt stand out as much.

I figured it wasnt a huge issue, as I had no problem booting. I just don't need CWM to crap out on me. (I have terrible luck like that ;))

I've had luck doing the mounts and storage: format /cache trick after a new flash, seems to work every time

Is anyone else having issues flashing baseband radio.img files with Touch Recovery? I never had a problem with the old CWM, but this Touch Recovery will flash the ROM ok, but when it reaches the baseband I am getting a status 7 error. Is it possible this touch recovery is the GSM variant and not capable of writing cdma baseband .img files?

Yeah, i had that problem yesterday when I unbricked my marquee yesterday. I had to flash it back to stock to re-activate it. Everything went fine until it tried to do the baseband, then i got an installation aborted message. I also noticed that there is no way to partition you're sdcard either. I was trying to make a swap partition but couldn't cause there was no option to do so.

Did you flash the stock recovery back then overwrite with CWM? or did you use the KDZ method?

Well my phone already had the zv4 baseband, so it wasn't too big of a deal. When I rebooted I found that the ROM had installed fine. So i just re-activated, and re-flashed CTMod, left cwm touch alone and called it a day. :D

Is there any way to make an installer for non-touch recovery similar to the touch recovery? I don't want to go through the whole root process to revert my recovery

just swap the .img out in the installer you used to install it (not RM) and rename accordingly. ;)

If I swap out the touch .img with the non touch .img in the installer you made, will it overwrite cwm touch so I can flash basebands again?
