Touch screen not working?

Had the phone for about 2 years now ...
Dont want to buy another phone ...
BUT the touchscreen started playing up a few days ago ... the menu button would randomly pop up when i was texting etc ....
Then today the touch screen is completely unresponsive so I cant even put the unlocking patter in ...
I cant even factory reset because i cant click "ok" ..


Advise? :(
 
Is it stock or rooted? It sounds like the ROM is messing up. Do you have a stock or custom recovery?
