Accessories TPU Cases: restoring shape (volume buttons)

Hi all, I have a tpu case off eBay, one of the versions where the volume and pwr buttons are covered. Great case, but one downside is that the case bulges out around the vol buttons. The edge of the case is gasped and stuff gets behind it at that area.

Is there any way to shrink that area back down so it's snug? I wonder if heating wig a hairdryer would help to set it.

boil it or hair dryer...then put in freezer????

no idea if that will really work but it might

try a razor, and then do the hair dryer, might melt less of it doing it that way.
