Trackball contantly lit up in CM6

Hi,
I've rooted quite a few android devices (2 Sprint Heroes, Evo, 2 nooks). A friend of mine has a CDMA Hero that isn't from Sprint, but from a regional carrier. I helped him root it and install CM6 on it. His trackball is constantly lit up if the screen is on. I own 2 Sprint Heroes running CM6 and have not run into this problem. Any ideas on why this is happening and what he can do to correct it? Thanks

I would reflash the rom. Wipe Davlik cache and cache then flash the CM6.

Is he running a nightly or the the RC1 6.1? If he is running a nightly, this could be a bug in that specific build, in that case I would try a new nightly build. Otherwise reflash the RC1 build
