As far as I know the only way to do what you describe is to root and use titanium backup.

Yea ive heard that but would that mean i have to root both the V and the Triumph? so there's no other way at all? If worst comes to worse ill just have to re download all the apps right (Do i have to pay for them again)? and lose all the data involved in them as well as texts?

You shouldn't lose the paid apps. When you set up the Triumph you will need to sign in and sync with your google account. So all your paid apps should be kept in the market under "MyApps". If you have the retailer import you number, it would be like changing from one ROM to another. Even all you contacts will be on your phone once you sync with your google account. Make a list of all the free apps you want to have on the Triumph. This will make it easier to remember all the free apps you have to download from the market.

Yes they would both have to be rooted.
You won't have to pay for them, the only thing you will lose is your progress and such.
