Transform ultra ics?

How come the Samsung Galaxy prevail has an ice from, but the transform ultra doesn't? I mean like that transform ultra is a better phone than the prevail, but it doesn't have ice.... Its almost like no one cares about the Tu....

The question of whether or when we will get Ice Cream Sandwich on the Ultra has been asked several times since ICS was known about. The quick and simple answer is that the TU doesn't have the hardware or resources necessary to run a true ICS-based ROM. In all likelyhood, the ROM you've seen for the Prevail is actually Gingerbread mocked up to look like ICS. The closest we will probaly get to seeing ICS on the Ultra are the ICS/JB features incorporated into the Megatron ROM by its creators.

I can't speak for the Prevail as I've never owned one, but the TU is a very niche product. With the physical QWERTY keyboard and mid-range specs, the phone never really took off. As a result, there's maybe only 5-10 people still developing anything for the phone (myself included).

Nope. There's a CM9 kang ROM currently in alpha stage for the Prevail, though I don't think it's seen much development lately. It should have a proper ICS base, since it's CM9.

We have the hardware, just that we won't ever get the OTA update for it from Samsung and boost. We also don't have the devs for it and probably never will. Just get ya self a true ics pre-installed device like me:D. I gave up and im currently using the warp sequent as my daily drive.

Much respect for all of your hard work. I just cannot conceive of how one can text without a physical qwerty keyboard, or emulate games. A touchscreen device couldn't possibly be my daily driver. It's too bad we won't get ICS, but at the same time, I'm not jealous, because I still think I have the best smartphone on the market @ only $40/month.
