Triangle away works!!!!

SelfElevated2

Android Expert
Just wanted to let you guys know that there's an app called triangle away, it resets your flash counter to zero, as well as removes the yellow triangle at boot that alerts samsung or anyone else that you flashed something or rooted your phone therefore voiding your warranty or any assistance you might have gotten.

It warns that it is dangerous and could brick phone as a disclaimer just like roms on here.but it works fine. 2 clicks and your all set...

Just figured I'd let the people who are too frightened by the disclaimer know.:p because it can make you not want to use it.. Shoot i waited a week b4 i said f*** it, I'm gonna try it

WOOOOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! yea I waited a couple of days, Thanks SelfElevated2 and all the others that try this first.....Triangle Away does work. I have a BOOST MOBILE SGS2 and I just used the app NO BRICKS............have not checked everything yet hope its ok. again THANKS

I can confirm this as well, ive used it too. Im posting cuz I found a thread at XDA< I wanna say chris41g came up with a fix that works as well and you only do it once and youll never trigger that damn yellow dry rattin of a triangle again.

Just did it today very easy. Works well here is the link. Just download the .apk file install it than open it up and rest the counter. After I was done I rebooted it. Awesome. I didnt realize how much I didn't like the triangle until it was gone !!

TRI-ANGLE AWAY

this is good for the non-daredevils out there.... but im the kind of guy who is a daredevil i tried this app as soon as i found it and didnt care that it could potentially brick my phone lol. to make matters worst i used it 2 days after getting my new phone lol

triangle away doesn't work with jelly bean android.
It comes up and says cannot find hidden partition, then asks if I'm using ICS.

Kinda disappointing to. I paid for the app :(.

I've emailed the developer and got no answer back, that was 4 to 5 days ago. Still no answer.

What rom are you running? You shouldn't have a triangle on cm10.. I've only used it on stock rom after rooting. I know there is a few jb roms but you would think the dev would have removed the triangle. I seen a walk around for the triangle on xda that doesn't require an app. I'll see if I can locate that for u. When I originally started this thread it was to inform everyone else not to be scared of bricking, that it has been used on the s2 with out a problem

Are you on the new FK23? You do have to be rooted to use triangle away.

Codegerm

I'm on FK23 rooted.
It worked fine on JB roms such as CM10, and AOKP, and also worked on all the ics roms as well as stock ics, but it doesn't seem to work for me on this rom.
Perhaps Samsung has plugged the triangle hole for now? dunno
I also do know that they are talking about dropping triangle away app support.
I ordered a usb jig for $1.50 last night, for just in case they do drop support for the app.

I don't have the triangle at the moment, as the fk23 rom doesn't provoke the triangle at all nor does it up your counter, I just know the counter is at like 5 or 6, and I coming from an IT background, have some things I am anal about I guess and like to keep things cleared out and organized, then for ANY reason I have to send the phone in, it will have a zero counter on it, before I forget to reset it.
Kinda like backing up, I am pretty anal and redundant about backing up, I have 2 micro sd backups, a dvd backup and a hd backup :). As you can see I am pretty redundant about it hehe. It's jsut I come from a long time IT type background, pc's, windows and such and have made some habits over the years, and they are hard to break I guess.
Someone once asked me why I cntrl-alt-del and lock my PC at home, I just told them it's a LONG time habit I got into I just never broke it, it's almost something I do without thinking really

Are you on stock rom? Your referring to Samsung as the maker a lot

Yeah. I had a sequent, and ditched it for the Samsung S2 Epic 4g touch, been the best choice I've made in awhile. I LOVE this phone, it is SO awesome, and with this new rom it's even better.

I am on stock rom yes, but not FI22 stock, I am on the new FK23 leaked rom with root. Not sure what Samsung did to make the app not work now, but they seemed to have plugged the hole somehow, because as I said before, it says exactly this: "Cannot find hidden partition, are you on ICS?" then you can only hit ok, and it closes.

It never crashed on me when I ran it on FL04. Are you on a custom one?

No just normal stock rooted of course I got it under our repo for the phone

Heres the alogcat out. (It dosent crash it just dosent work) ------- beginning of /dev/log/main

I can't get rid of this damn triangle raaaawr! Pacman fl24 and whatever kernel it comes with.

Try flashing the aosp jb kernel in the one stop. That may get rid of it since the boot image is in the kernel zips. But I really don't see why triangle away wouldn't work for you. I've used it maybe 10 times on the s2
