means me too/interested/I want it too/etc...
It can also be said to bring an old thread back up to the top of the list that looks interesting but looks like it died a while back.... usually isn't done by saying bump, usually the user posts in it asking a question about what he/she read.
I better not see a lot of bumps from old threads because of this though
