Trouble installing drivers

Hey guys I really want to root my Hero but im kind of stuck. Im running 2.1 btw. I've followed these steps

But its step seven where i get stuck. You see when i connect the phone (yes USb debugging is on) it wont install the drivers -_-

Is there a way to manually install them?

Also Im running windows vista

If you are having driver issues, I have always found that if I installed PDAnet (google it) I get working drivers

Try HTC sync version 2.0.33 instead of the newest one, most people with vista or 7 use this or pdanet if that fails too.

Ok got the driver to install now im having the "no such file or directory not found problem" UGHHHHH
