Root trouble with installation

i have several troubles with my xperia x8

I want to change my OS to froyo but:
I have problem with rooting. Ive tried several kinds of superoneclick. And none of those take an effect to my phone.when i opened superoneclick and click root., nothing has happened. Just notification that says 'waiting for the device'. I waited. And nothing happened.

Is it because of my build number and my baseband?i have downloaded baseband 015 for flashing my phone. And when i connect it to PC and flash it there are several error messages that says i must reinstall the driver.

What happened to my phone?????

yes. ive turned it on.
is it make an effect if we do turn on usb debug before or after the message appears?

ive tried for arround 19 times. maybe i need to try it one more time to get it succeed

you should download the usb drivers & make sure your phone is connected to PC; make sure you do not mount sd card and usb debugging on

9 out of 10 times SuperOneClick does not work because PC does not have the correct usb drivers to recognize Xperia X8

nope.i think my PC can recognize my Xperia.bcause another time i connect it to the PC, my phone shows three options which is : Charge phone, PC Companion, Connect to The PC. and my PC can explore what contains in my SD.

And when u said to unmount my SD, is that means i should remove my SD from the phone?

Please help
