True or False

You were right.

False. Ever seen a bitch on temperature?

T/F?
The problem with the Hindenburg wasn't that it was filled with hydrogen, but was the aluminium based doping compound used on its fabric.

Ill say false

The moon, when seen in the horizon, doesnt only look bigger than when its higher in the sky. It actually is bigger.

False on both accounts. The horizon effect is an illusion and the moon is closer when overhead - but not within the ability of human visual acuity to tell.

Also, it's believed that the Hindenburg was done in by the fabric coating, hydrogen ignites violently, not with conflagration.

T/F
Hush puppies, the corn bread dish, were named after a dog command.

I'll say false, they were named after the Australian brand of footwear.

You must've seen the same doco on the Hindenburg as me Early.

Macadamia nuts are native only to Australia.

Dark energy continues to increase over time and will eventually tear the universe apart

Hi huh. Macadamias are native to Australia only.

Tree kangaroos climb trees.

True and false. Fallen trees are climbed by them. Dead kangaroos (of any kind) don't tell lies nor do they climb trees.

T/F
It's only possible for me to care slightly less about all things Australian than I do right at this moment...... now.

I'm obstinate so I will probably ask a question that pertains to Australia..:D:D

The BEEGEES were triplets

False. Our salties are way bigger than alligators, they're also found in Africa and Asia.

BTW Mel was born in the USA, so you can't help but call him one of your own.

T/F?
Russell Crowe is Australian.

False, he's from Belgium actually. Or New Zealand, which is probably about the same down under. But he did claim to grow up there in Australia. The way he treats people, difficult to say if true that he's grown up. I knew that they were crocs btw, I just tossed that in to see what would happen.

BTW - Mel Gibson - still not ours. And the food hush puppies are not named after footwear lol.

T/F
Mel Gibson played as an extra in Return of the Jedi.

Crowe does treat people very poorly, I lost all respect for him after his first few escapades of that nature in Aussie pubs.

I'll go false on that one, not that I actually know.

The rocket research establisment at Woomera in the desert in South Australia is named after a 'throwing stick', an aid the aborigines used to throw spears further.

I'm going with true. My team worked there for quite a while actually, I ended up not going in favor of another gig.

T/F
The Americans put up a makeshift golf course in the rocky desert there.

Definitely false on the Tiger.

And, I reckon Early's is true.

The lead singer of Midnight Oil, one of Australia's best loved pub rock bands is now Minister for Education in Julia Gillard's Labor minority federal Government.

I'll say true ... Just because it sounds to good to be made up :)

It's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all

I would go with false. Being loved and lost is very hurting compared to never have loved at all.

T/F
Love is a casual thing.

False infatuation is a casual thing..

But if you truly have loved someone you will always love them... IMO

Hippos kill more people a year than sharks

False. Money has actual value in the same way that people think air has value - by definition.

Also true on the hippo thing. I checked, there are no recorded cases of hippos killing sharks in this century.

T/F
Alligator is so dry that it's common to mix it with pork in order to get a tasty sandwich happening with it.
