Root trying to install a rom

I'm trying to install a kangerade rom on my wife's rooted droid

I go to install, allow update.zip installation and then install /sdcard/update.zip

And I get the following error:

Finding update package...
E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (or /dev/block/mmcblk0)
(no such file or directory)
E: Can't mount SDCARD:Update.zip
Installation aborted

I think I figured it out, I wasn't unmounting the usb on my computer and then disabling usb before turning off the phone!

haha, not sure if that's sarcastic, but oh well. I told my wife "YOU'RE RUNNING FROYO I'M SO JEAULOUS!!! (I'm on a droid x)" and she just looked at me like "If my phone stops working for any random reason because you've been f*cking with it your dead!"

Wife = Not as excited about froyo as me.

you got further than I ever have. I have tried several times to root my wifes eris after she complains about stuff but to no avail. I always get I dont want you "HACKING" my phone.

I don't think he was being sarcastic, it took me a week to figure this out on mine. BTW....you have more guts than I do, I'm scared to root my wife's droid. If I did every little blip in the phone would be blamed on my rooting.
She's seen mine that is rooted and doesn't understand what the big deal is anyway. As long as it works and she's happy, I'm happy.

Nope - I was not being sarcastic (sorry if I came off that way) I know how nice it feels to figure out stuff on your own
