Root Trying to install TWRP using GooManager.

Codec

I click Install OpenRecovery but it never actually installs it, it either just sits there doing nothing or I get some kind of MD5 error.

Don't bother with Goo right now. It's been messed up for quite some time. Download the Flashify application and the TWRP img from Techerrata then use Flashify to flash the recovery image.

Thanks, I am kinda new to TWRP, how do I update it?

Just like in the text you quote. Download the file linked, hook up your phone to a pc, reboot phone into bootloader, open a command prompt on the pc and type the above command - either change recovery.img to the twrp filename or rename the file.

The above assumes you have the right drivers installed on your pc.

Always best to know all this as fastboot commands can get you out of a lot of problems.
