Root trying to reinstall rom from clockworkmod

hi,

i had an issue with launcher pro, couldnt get into any apps on my phone. I decided to reinstall velocity through recovery menu. Im using clockworkmod recovery. Im using debian linux, and i mount USB storage inside clockworkmod. It looks like the velocity0.3 zip file is moved over to the sdcard, but in clockwork it cant find any files on the sdcard. I tried factory reset, and when i hit a brick wall, i formatted, system, sdcard, everything (except boot) and now cant get past the verizon logo. Anyone know what I can do. I can still boot into recovery.

I had the same predicament...I flashed the allure and when I got Baker in...flashed although recovery in clockwork. Someone will probably reply with more information if not.

I look up how exactly I did it.

Where are you wanting to end up?
Stock or back to Velocity?

If Stock Check this method out.
Youll need to flash over Amonra via Clockwork first though

And if you want Velocity just Wipe Dalvik, Cache , and do Data Factory reset and then Flash the velocity zip.

i want it back to velocity. Ive done all those things before, but still cant find the velocity zip on the sdcard. Is there a particular order of doing things?

Not sure, but I think velocity.zip has to be in the root directory of the SD card in order for recovery to find the zip and flash it.

it is in the root, but when i copy it over, it disappears. when i mount USB Storage, move the file over, unmout usb storage, and remount, the file has gone.
