Root Trying to unroot... RUU errors, please help!

Hi, I tried following this guide to unroot my EVO. I downloaded HTC Sync, plugged my phone into the computer, then ran the RUU. I was going through the RUU 10 minute process when some message popped up on the computer about needing a different version of RUU or something... Now when my phone starts up, it sits at a black HTC startup screen with four "!" marks in each corner of the screen. When I try the Volume Down + Power startup, it just goes to the same screen.

Can anyone help me out of this mess? The phone isn't bricked, is it?

EDIT: When I turned it on while plugged into the USB to my computer, it goes to the same screen; however, when I unplug it from the USB, it goes to a white screen that says:

SUPERSONIC EVT2-3 SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT-2.10.0001
MICROP-041f
TOUCH PANEL-ATMELC03_16ac

welcome to the forums!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

moved your thread to the rooting section.

why do you want to unroot out of curiosity?

also i would use the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/194918-rooting-dummies.html guide here. it is a much better guide and it has a section on how to unroot.
