Root Trying to unroot. Which PC36IMG.zip download?

3. select install from sdcard and select the radio file

Installation aborted :/
I was going to try to help you out but it looks like something has changed with unrooting gingerbread with revolutionary h boot. The last time i did it there was just the s on pc36 file and then an ruu you ran from the computer. someone who knows whats going on with the guide will be here soon im sure

It's just frustrating that i keep asking questions and ppl send me to the same links. I mean if im asking questions is because something did not click when reading and doing it through the guide.

Yeah the unrooting got real complicated. I go with s-on then pc36, but I gad to struggle through my last unrooting on someone else's phone. It wouldn't accept the RUU but running through fastboot worked

Yea it says to flash a radio first and then if the ruu fails to use unrevolked s on forever so It looked to me like the 2.3.5 and the 2.3.3 guides got combined or something.

nope if you look back in the past some people could not get for whatever reason get the PC36IMG RUU for the stock rom and recovery to work. so by adding in the radio flash you can use unrevoked to help finish the process. this was found in part thanx to captain throwback. it is not completely necessary to do it. but this way ensures that everybody will be able to unroot.

I remember that and the PC36IMG RUU never worked for me but the one you run on the computer always worked for me. Havent messed with unrooting in a while so when I saw the changes I did not want to give wrong info out. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

no worries. i was able to unroot the op by only using the 6.17 PC36IMG and the 4.54 PC36IMG RUU. i did not have to use the radio flash. but it is still a good idea to do it anyways.

I was really glad to see the radio flash added to the guide myself. It does solve some of the issues. I remember back with Unrevoked the radio and the hboot version needed to match for the ruu to work. I believe akazabam set Ocn and myself straight on that one in the same thread at the same time!

I was really wet behind the ears back when the mighty akazabam was patrolling the forums.
