Is there a way, or a setting, to shut off the 4 lower white buttons on the bottom of the Bionic? I thought I read where somebody was able to do that.

Well, there is an app that will do that, but it does require that you be rooted:

https://market.android.com/details?id=com.deskangel.adjbrightness

Don't really think there's a way to do that without being rooted or Android providing a setting for this.
