Help Turns on and off the whole time

Hello everyone,

My HTC Desire Z ran out of battery so naturally it turned off. I plugged it to my laptop, and for about 10secs I see the usual orange light that indicates that it's charging. It then seems to turn on on its own, the little light turns off and I see a screen with white background and the green htc letters for another 10 secs where it turns off and subsequently turns on again repeating this same process.
I do have to say that the battery drained quicker than usual, but I didn't do much, 2 calls and 10min of facebook.

I tried taking out the battery, SIM and SD card and turning it on (both connected and then disconnected from the laptop) But it just doesn't seem to work. I've had it for about 7 months now and it has worked perfectly. I haven't downloaded anything for about 2 months now so I doubt it has to do anything with the apps or so.

Please help?

Try leaving it with the battery removed for a while, say 15mins. Refit the battery and connect to the charger.... does it still do it?

Unfortunately it still does that. I'm taking it to get checked tomorrow at an authorised htc shop, do you maybe have any idea what might be wrong?

Hi Everybody,
I found a solution which is working fine so far (2 weeks)
First of all you need to wipe off your HTC desire Z, and reinstall the factory image (PC10IMG)
Start your phone, and jailbreak it again.
Install rom manager and super user
Download mimicry (currently using the 1.3.2 fine with android jelly bean) and put it on your sd card.
Restart the phone and install mimicry
Go to into your settings; performance;
Processor : min 1024 max 1612
Memory : zram--> disabled
Allow purging of assets : enabled
Kernel samepage merginge: enabled
Reboot and you will be fine

Hope this help
