Root [TUTORIAL]Simple Gingerbread .602 SBF and Root Process (Updated 9.9.11)

Try doing the wipe data/cache part again. That is the typical cause of a bootloop.

That didn't work. This phone was rooted by it's previous owner and it had Liberty GB .09 on it. I used a more up to date SBF file than was on it already. Would that have made a difference?

No, SBF replaces everything. You could try the whole procedure again.

I would try the sbf again... then make sure you are doing a full wipe through stock recovery. Never had anyone bootloop after following all these directions to the letter. Also make sure you are getting a good download of all the files too. Although the sources for my links are legit, it could have had a small glitch in transfer that will mess it up.

If all else fails, do the SBF using the Linux boot disk method which is linked in the Original Post as well. Then do a full wipe.

Managed to turn my phone into a brick of sorts. Comes on, but nothing works. Shows my phone number as wrong. No service. When I try to go to recovery, I'm stuck on the yellow exclamation point. Any help is appreciated.

hit the search button when you get the yellow exclamation point. See if it will let you go further. If not try the home button.

Well here I go venturing into my first sbf. And I'm stuck at step one. Someone please tell me which file to download for .602 SBF file. There's plenty of different links on the site, do I download the one that corresponds to my phones version?

I am at the Pete one step root.

When I click on root my phone, it goes into rebooting your phone
My phone gets stuck in the bootloader and does nothing.

What am I doing wrong here?

my phone never powered off and back on after running rsd. it says:

Bootloader
30.04
Err:A5,70,70,00,00

MEM_MAP Blank
Service Req'd
Battery OK
OK to Program

You've been asked this a million times but I have to ask again...

System Info is 4.5.605MB810
Android Version is 2.3.3
Build Number is 4.5.1_57_DX5-35

Need to send phone back to Verizon. Had Liberty on it, reset the data, but need to get totally stock as I still have super user and Clockwork on there. Help would be great. Been a while since rooted to liberty, like Last July. I would appreciate your help as I don't want to pay for it when it gets back to Verizon! And will this get rid of my custom android logo and go back to the M logo on boot? That would be a telling sign that it is modded.

SO I got my new Droid X, wanting to root here are specs:

System vers: 4.5.621 MB810
Android Vers: 2.3.4
kernel vers: 2.6.32.9-g1282440

can I use the same process and include the last 2 steps to root it or do I have to do another set of processes. Thanks in advance

Also, ROM advice? used liberty but all I really care about is battery life and skype being actually functional not limited like skype mobile.
