Two major things missing from the conference...

Nothing on improved security for enterprise email. Dont they want to capture even more of that blackberry market?

Nothing on ICS for old phones. Is it only going to work on dual core? Will phones from early 2011 get it. etc?

Otherwise pleased but these are two major topics of interest for me.

I don't think they are worrying about BB users.

They didn't announce carries, price or storage options either. I wouldn't expect them to announce which devices that are currently out ICS will work on. They want to sell new phones after all ;)

Phones that can handle Gingerbread should be able to handle ICS. I expect it to be on the Nexus One and Nexus S within a couple months.

Can't wait for ICS to come to my Moto Xoom.

I would expect that many of the higher-end phones released this year will get ICS.

And, LOL, I'm betting money that there's an enterprising dev already cooking up an ICS ROM for our beloved little Eris (it was one of the very first to have a Froyo port and then a GB port...the devs certainly love a challenge ;))).

Cheers!

What about GPU? Is it safe to assume that it'll be a SGX540 GPU core, the same that is paired with the OMAP 4430 (Bionic?)
