Help Two notifications for sms

Anytime I receive a sms/mms I get two different envelopes in the notifications bar at the same time. And also two notifications when I open the bar up. Doesn't sound right but I don't know. Is that what its supposed to do?

Nope. If you're using a 3rd party messaging app like Handcent or ChompSMS, make sure you turn off notifications in the stock "Messaging" app.

That will also happen if you're using Google Voice for your messaging. Turning off the "native" SMS notifications solve that problem also.

I just use stock messing. I wonder if "missed call"app is doing it? I'll remove it and check it out.
