Root Twrp

Hello, friends. I have a question about TWRP and since this thread is appropriately named, I thought I 'd ask it here. I rooted my T-Mobile S4 today and found that it had TWRP 2.5.0.0 loaded. I see where they are up to 2.8.7.0 and was wondering if I should try to up-rev to this version, or if there is an up-rev more suited to my two-year old phone that I should try - as it occurs to me that the latest TWRP rev is probably suited to more modern phones.

I'm wanting to get rid of the stock ROM on this thing and go with something less obnoxious.

Thanks!

Welcome to our AndroidForums, @kptnfmrs :).

I've moved your post over here to the SG S4 root area for you.

Certainly if there is a newer version of TWRP for your specific device then upgrading is probably a good idea since it's likely it will contain bug fixes and enhancements--although you'd have to check their change log for the details re. that.

Hope that helps!

:)
