Root Ubuntu Possibility?

Hi guys just switched from the Admire and got the Esteem for a trade (Admire plus 20$ on top :D )

But anyways I was wondering if you guys had any information on this Specifically the devs who made the Kernels (Running Blitz2.1)

Yes I know I can download it and try myself but honestly I don't want to have to download a 1.5gb image if its not going to work.

But cool thought right? The screen size is pretty decent I think to have to run kinda tabletish!

I can't remember because its been a while since the post but I wanna say someone did run it on they're Esteem without problem ... don't quote me on that tho. :D

If you've seen my other post I have run into a predicament and can't set the default location for the phone to read as SD (_ExternalSD) and instead it does internal storage and has the actual SD card just as storage, so I'm trying to figure that out

probably a dumb question...but what exactly is this and what is it for??

it lets you run ubuntu on your phone. ive tried it as well and its not that great the concept is cool but you'll probably never use it for your everyday needs

I'm pretty sure we've discuss this a few months back. but that "sim card" in your Esteem is actually a SD card therefore we have an internal memory and internal SD card. I'm not pretty sure if we've ever figured out a way but I simply use Root Explorer to push everything to my 16gig external [: app2sd wouldn't work. but if your downloading files from your browsers you can set it so it saves to your external

no the 'sim' card is actually the uicc card that controls the 4G data connection, and thats all it does.

There is like 4GB of internal storage plus whatever size sdcard you have. ;)
