Installed over 3.0.0 without wiping and got stuck in a bootloop. Installed after wiping and have had some random reboots that were present in for me in RC2 but not 3.0.0. Looks like this update is not worth the time, back to 3.0.0 final for me.

From what I understand, ANY previous version would benefit from a full wipe to avoid issues.

(When I say previous, I mean any version before 3.0)

The flag on his page warning of boot loop is gone, I might give it a try this morning and report back.

The 2/19 nighty is OUT and features (finally!) custom message on lockscreen! One of my favorite features of 2.5! :D

Looks like it's time to try GB again...

Well, I gave it a try and, as much as I would LOVE to be on a Gingerbread ROM, none of the GB ROMs I've tried will identify half my music. The UD nightly left 36 of my 70 albums "unknown", and the Cyanogen nightly was no better. It has to be something in the GB framework that hangs up because neither ^3 Cubed nor the stock music player could ID my music.

Oh well, back to UD 2.5 :(

Well, don't follow me off a cliff here :D remember that EVERY Droid is slightly different. It may work on yours... the only way to know is to flash it.

Just MAKE A BACKUP, wipe x3, flash & set up the new ROM. And if it doesn't work out: wipe x3 and nandroid restore. It'll be like nothing ever happened. :)

Agree. Don't let one other's experience steer you away. Half of my music is never recognized anyway because it's stuff that I ripped/converted or whatever and never correctly "installed". I think it's all about editing the JPEG that goes along with the album or some crap like that :)

I wiped after 2.5, moving to 3.0, and 3.01 has been sweet for me.

Up and running with slayer 1100 kernel, smooth and fast. Everything seems to work except the battery percentage indicator. I am using setcpu since I cannot find a performace setting option?

I'm not sure if it applies in your case, but try:

Settings > Ultimate Settings > Special > Performance > CPU Settings

Aight, been running it all day, def pretty nice. I do have an issue that's bothering me. It keeps resetting my notification and phone ringtone to it's default. I'll change it, it'll be right, then receive a message or call, and we're back to the default again. When it comes to setting contact ringtones, it doesn't let me change them at all. I'll pick a tone, hit ok, but the contact's tone still says default.

Has anyone else noticed this or willing to give it a try?

I posted a question recently at UD forums but haven't gotten a response yet... I'm looking for information on how an app (specifically Tasker) can identify that it is running on a UD ROM, so it can alter its behavior. So far I've given the developer some info from the "about" screen on the phone, and the contents of the build.prop file, but he hasn't found anything uniquely identifying the UD ROM that he can query within the app. Any suggestions?

I've also noticed this, though I've only experienced it with my alarm and ringtone.
